GSUMC – Role Description

We are called to love, worship, and serve as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

 

Role:                   Staff-Parish Relations Committee Chair (¶249.3)

 

Ministry Area:     Resource Ministries - Staff-Parish Relations Committee

 

Purpose 

 

Term:                  Annual, may be renewed. Serves a three-year term on Committee


Role Summary:

     1.  To guide the work of the Committee throughout the year, planning agendas and presiding at quarterly meetings and other special meetings as necessary.

     2.  To be available to the Pastor for Counsel, understanding and support.

     3.  To take part in the Administrative Council and Charge Conference.

     4.  To report regularly to the Administrative Council concerning the work of the Committee


Responsibilities:

     1.  Member of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee

     2.  Member of the Administrative Council


Skills:

     1.  Good listening skills.

     2.  Organizational skills.

     3.  Good interpersonal skills.

     4.  Multi-media communications skills.      

 

Estimated Time per Month: Committee meetings are currently held bimonthly.
