GSUMC – Role Description

We are called to love, worship, and serve as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

 

Role:                   Membership Secretary

 

Ministry Area:     Hospitality

 

Purpose: 

 

Term:                  Annual, may be renewed.


Role Summary:

     1.  Maintains the roll of church members (both full members, and preparatory members) and records of baptisms and terminations (death, withdrawal, transfer, or conference action).

     2.  Maintains an address list of members and friends of Gum Spring UMC.

     3.  Provides the pastor with current information for his annual “Pastor’s Report to Charge Conference.”


Responsibilities:

     1.  Member of the Hospitality Ministry Area.


Skills:

     1.  Good listening skills.

     2.  Organizational skills.

     3.  Good interpersonal skills.

     4.  Multi-media communications skills.
