Gum Spring UMC is growing! We have been working on plans for a new facility, just down the street at the corner of US 522 and Three Chopt Road. Our capital campaign has raised about $1.5 million and we plan to break ground this fall.

The new building will feature a sanctuary that seats 320 worshipers. We will have 11 classrooms, plus a nursery, conference room, parlor, a children’s church room, youth area and fellowship space.

The entire facility will be fully accessible with no steps between the front door and the pulpit. An elevator will provide access to the downstairs, which is also accessible from the back parking lot.

Our capital campaign has raised about $1.5 million and we plan to break ground this fall. Although the detail design work may seem slow, we recently drilled a well on the new site.

We ask you to continually to lift up our decision-making and financial decisions in your prayers as we seek to provide for God’s ministry at GSUMC.
